about eau

Collaborative

We welcome individual adults who are seeking to heal and thrive, and willing to take the steps to get there. Clients will work with an Eau Therapist to understand the distress, identify goals for therapy and do the work to heal, both in and outside of sessions.

Trauma-Informed

At Eau, we seek to understand the root causes of distress, including past events. When the client is ready, we confront the root causes and look at how they impact present distress.  We use trauma-informed-care and specific evidence-based trauma therapies in the treatment plan.

Holistic

In trauma-informed therapy, we look at the whole person, including how distress impacts their body & emotions. We ask the individual to proactively work on tools to heal their body and regulate emotions in and outside of sessions.

Value-Driven

At Eau Therapy, we look beyond present distress at what the individual would like life to be like based on their values and purpose. Clients will work with an Eau Therapist to identify their values, including faith-based values, and work toward them to build the life they want.

Psycho-Educational

We take time in sessions to inform individuals of the approaches we're taking and we give individuals tools to walk away with so that they can continue their work outside of sessions. This honours the autonomy of each client and empowers them to move forward.

Choice-Based and Ethical

We adhere to the Regulations and Ethics of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, which includes respect for the privacy, choice and autonomy of each individual.
